About Miniature Pinschers,
These Toy dogs are fun, fun, fun! You just can't have one!
Min Pins have been around for several centuries. Though they look like little Doberman Pinschers, they have nothing to do with the breed. They are a breed of their own. The breed was created from crossbreeding (not inbreeding) the Italian Grey Hound, German Terrier and the Dashund. This breed was established in the mid 1800's. They were bred in Germany. In the breed standard, you have the large and small variety, 10 - 12 1/2 inches is the breed standard. However, they can be taller are shorter. That does not mean they're not pure bred it just disqualifes them from the show ring. You don't judge a Min Pin by their weight, it's by their height. But to get an idea of their size, I have put their weights.
This information is from the Miniature Pinscher Club Of America, Inc.
Also for the breed standard, their ears can be cropped or uncropped.
As you can see below, I have a variety of sizes.
